7/19/12 – MM taking Kittrell_Heather_032310.mxd and transitioning it to landscape and adding the edits from PB and SS.

7/20/12 – MM tried to make Kittrell landscape, but it worked better as portrait.  MM arranged all the pieces on the layout, and then brought in PB’s edits.  MM realized that PB’s edits were not completely precise (e.g. edgematching).  MM also realized that with all the files in three different folders, a painstaking task to edit this quad would only make it much more painstaking.  Therefore, MM have decided to create a new geodatabase (Kittrell_DISTRIBUTABLE) and bring in what MM can and start from scratch.  Yikes.

1/15/13 – Back in the saddle again, trying to figure out where MM left off.  MM brought in PB’s edits and I determined that the files “Kittrell_bedrock_polylines_020911” and “Kittrell_bedrock_polygons_020911” added nothing to what MM already had in the new “Kittrell_portrait_072012.mxd”.  MM then looked at the Kittrell Explan Rev 6_28_12 to see what other edits needed to be made.  (Those edits apparently had been made.)  MM changed the pavement from a light purple pattern to a Dark Ameythyst solid color.  MM made a few other minor changes and printed it out and will give this copy, along with the edited copies, back to PB at some point.

1/17/13 – MM had to include changes to the layout that PB emailed MM on the 15th.  MM put in the three stereonets with text and then printed a copy for PB.

1/24/13 – But then, MM put in three stereonets, the geochem shapefile and the geochem table.  Then, MM think everything’s ready to print…

4/3/13 – MM changed Geochem_points_Kittrell_v2 to KittrellGeochemPoints.  MM took the text from the first and copied and pasted it to the map.  MM am beginning the process of merging the symbols points into one grand feature class.  MM first merged all of SS’s feature classes into one – Kittrell_Skip_Stations.  MM will check to see if it all worked tomorrow, including the text.

4/4/13 – MM needed to work on the .lyr file to incorporate the new symbols from the consolidation of the feature classes.  MM double-checked Kittrell_Skip_Stations and there were 50 entries without a Legend.  But they were duplicates, so MM deleted them.  MM also kept the Kittrell_Skip_StationsText.

4/8/13 – MM merged the three Ken files into one.  Now MM need to check if it worked and create the .lyr for it tomorrow (?).

4/9/13 – It did work and MM created the .lyr file for Kittrell_Ken_Stations.  MM then merged all the symbols from Ken, SS and Will and called it Kittrell_ObservationPoints.  MM also created a .lyr file for this feature class.  MM then saved all the latest feature classes, along with the latest .lyr’s.  MM then saved all the latest feature classes as shapefiles.  MM also saved the latest version of Kittrell on the G: to the C:.

8/8/14 – MM made multiple edits to this map, including swapping out the cross section and QuadIndex with jpeg’s.  MM made two changes to horizontal lineation and changed the labels to ductile fault in the quads and the cross section.  MM deleted a rock unit from the explanation and MM have to ask PB for description for CZvcg.  MM redid the Geologist Index as a jpeg.  MM saved the .mxd as a pdf and sent the pdf to PB and HH.

8/18/14 – MM changed the rest of the Data Views to tif images and saved layout as a pdf.

4/17/15 – MM changed the Jd2 color to Tuscan Red and changed the attribute value to diabase 2.  This was done for the benefit of the Franklin County geologic map.

11/30/15 – MM added CZvcg text to the layout, per PB.

12/31/15 - MM uploaded latest version of Kittrell map to Google Drive:

2/23/16 - MM looked at map after a request by Celia Visser in the Wake County Public Defenders Office to use this map in a court case.  MM saw that the OrientationPoints layer did not show up, so MM saved a duplicate copy and the symbols came in correctly after applying the OrientationPoints layer to the feature class.  MM also brought in a mines feature class from PB and then printed the map as a pdf.

4/6/16 -  MM made edits per KBT's review.  MM changed text from Times New Roman to Arial.  Waiting on last review with PB.

4/8/16 - MM made a couple of minor changes and printed out map for KBT's final review. 

4/12/16 - MM made additional changes, including changing rock unit names to match Franklin County Geologic Map and changing the color of CZrgn and the pattern of PPrgf.  Printed out map for one last final review by KBT. 

7/20/16 - MM added new geochem table, per PB's request.

7/22/16 - MM corrected all of KBT changes, printed map for final review.

7/25/16 - MM made final corrections and added Adjoining 7.5' Quadangles index to layout.  MM later split CZtcf polygon from CZtc polygon, since Henderson (above) had it and Kittrell didn't.  MM also added CZtcf pattern to polygon on quad and in layout.  MM will still have to do sweep of quad to make minor adjustments to dip numbers. 

7/26/16 - MM swept quad and adjusted dip numbers to better placements.  MM also adjusted a few symbols to radiate out of single point, based on looking at past versions.  MM printed map, but realized that CZrgj and CZrgf needed to have their patterns restored.  MM printed map again for final approval from KBT.  MM received approval and we're DONE!  OFR 2016-15
