Dear Diary – Middlesex
10/23/14 – Started the Middlesex_DISTRIBUTABLE.mxd. Copied the Bunn East layout and brought it over to a blank worksheet. MM deleted all Bunn East feature classes and made changes to the layout to reflect the new quad. MM started to thin out unnecessary files and after talking with Phil, MM brought in John Nickerson’s coastal plain units. MM then stopped, because MM have to go back and fix Bunn East’s coastal plain units.
10/30/14 – MM changed the shapefiles into feature classes. MM created a ObservationPoints annotation for the dip numbers. MM then began to adjust the dip numbers. MM also have to break up the lines going through the coastal plain units.
10/31/14 – MM started to label all the polygons and arrange them around the quad.
11/3/14 – MM continued moving the labels around the quad.
11/4/14 – MM finished moving the labels around the quad. Now MM working on the rock unit descriptions. MM have also started dotting the lines crossing Qal and coastal plain.
11/6/14 – MM finished dotting the contact lines. MM labelled the quartz lines. MM changed the fold symbols and lines and changed the colors of it to magenta. MM made changes to the legend part of the layout. MM got rid of the faults and changed them to folds.
11/10/14 – MM put decorations on the upper left fold. MM then began a thorough sweep to get any symbols that MM hadn’t gotten originally.
11/12/14 – MM completed the sweep. MM printed out the map.
12/31/15 - MM uploaded latest version of Middlesex map to Google Drive:
