Dear Diary Grissom

2/12/13 – After PB decided to work on Franklinton, MM decided to start Grissom.  It was just a cursory glance and MM will begin tomorrow or the next day (due to Sustainability meeting).

2/13/13 – MM decorated the ductile thrust faults and adjusted some text in the layout and on the faults.

2/14/13 – MM changed all the Cambrian text labels to C.  MM also made more corrections to the map and adjusted the polygons in the southern edge of the map that had shifted from the contact lines.

2/15/13 – MM began the long process of editing and adjusting the structural symbols so that they are more in keeping with how we do things currently.  Like multiple stations at one location.

2/19/13 – Moved the symbols around

2/22/13 – Continued to move symbols around.

3/1/13 – Finished moving symbols around.  Took off linework decorations from folds.  Revised rock unit  text in layout.

3/5/13 – Continued making corrections to layout, cross-section and main map.  Finished all of changes.  Introduced new Data Frame for Index to Geologic Mapping.  Printed out map and await the geochem chart and stereonets.

3/8/13 – Verified and changed internal and external labels to polygons.  Printed out a copy for PB.

3/19/13 – On the layout, MM put in the stereoscopes that Phil sent me yesterday.  MM finished making minor changes and adjustments and printed the map out for PB.

3/20/13 – MM added the geochem table and the geochemical points shapefile.  MM made minor adjustments to the layout in the Other Features section and then MM saved a pdf for PB.

3/27/13 – MM turned the shapefiles into feature classes and put them into their respective feature datasets.

3/28/13 – MM completed some administrative tasks.  MM organized the Grissom folder so that in the DISTRIBUTABLE folder, there were the stereoscopes and chart, the LayerFiles, the Shapefiles, along with the Feature Dataset with the Feature Classes.  In the PRODUCTION folder, MM organized it so that each component had its own folder.  MM did topology on the two MapUnitPolys and corrected one error.  MM did topology on the ContactsAndFaults feature class and corrected four errors.

8/8/14 – MM made one or two edits, saved the .mxd, saved it as a pdf and emailed it to PB.

8/18/14 – MM changed the rest of the Data Views to tif images and saved layout as a pdf.

11/30/15 – ES wanted latest Grissom.  MM opened it up, made minor changes to Prg, and fold lines, and reestablished links to logos.  After these were done, MM sent ES and PB the pdf.  After discussions with PB, MM changed PPrgd back to Prg.

1/7/16 - MM uploaded latest version of Grissom map to Google Drive:

4/11/16 - MM printed out a map earlier for KBT's review.  MM began to correct edits, but will need input from PB to complete the rest of the edits. 

4/12/16 - MM corrected all edits and printed out map for final KBT review. 

7/28/16 - MM added NC logo to bottom left of layout.  MM added Jenny Kelvington to upper right of layout.  MM added Adjoining 7.5' Quadrangles to layout.  MM changed CZrh to CZhg, changed description and also changed color of CZhg to match Franklin County geologic map.  MM printed map for final KBT review. 

8/9/16 - MM changed PPrgd to PPccg, per PB.  MM also got the rock unit description from Franklin County Geologic map.  MM printed map for KBT review. 

9/26/16 - KBT reviewed map, no corrections necessary and we're DONE!  OFR 2016-20.
