4/6/17 - KBT has given final approval to NCGS OFR 2016-14. We're done!
12/12/16 - MM received Garner_diabase_2016.xls from ES by email. The spreadsheet had coordinates of a new location for diabase line. MM placed the points in the Data View and then moved the diabase line to the west to match the new diabase points.
11/8/16 - MM corrected other things from ES, including diabase points and diabase lines. Also order of authors. MM sent another map to ES, who said all the changes were good and MM printed another map for KBT, PB and MM to edit for final corrections.
11/7/16 - KBT made some edits to the map and MM corrected them. MM saved map as pdf and sent to ES for corrections.
11/4/16 – MM adjusted diabase lines to reflect new locations per PB. MM straightened out layout for line symbols and rock unit boxes. MM printed out map and PB, MM and KBT looked it over. Remaining questions for ES: 1) Stations in Qal: Add text to Qal definition about outcrops. 2) Diabase from Geophysics line changes to standout more – keep or delete? 3) Diabase sites with no diabase stations in SW; west of WWTP and east of Coastal Plain. Keep or delete stations 66, 241, 242, 243, 19, 20, 21, 22. 4) PzZg in eastern part of quad – just leave as is?

11/3/16 - MM placed additional symbols on the layout. PB also drew new diabase lines on the map to reflect new placement of diabase symbols and tomorrow MM will add those lines to the ContactsAndFaults feature class. MM will consult with PB tomorrow about map and finish changes, so that a map can be sent to ES for edits.
11/2/16 - MM symbolized those measurements with 90 degree dip as vertical. MM looked for other stations with no dip on map and put dip numbers on them. MM spot-checked listings in 10_20_16.xls edits to make sure they had been done correctly. MM made all but one change (GLW-3 to diabase) to 10_25_16.doc edits and otherwise completed changes. MM will consult with PB tomorrow about map.
11/1/16 - MM, along with PB, realized there is confusion about the incoming data on the quad. In fact, MM seems to be going in circles trying to fix this quad. A step back, and try to fix the problems tomorrow.
10/25/16 - MM received geochem table from ES. After PB modified the table, PB gave the table to MM, who placed it in the layout.
10/20-21/16 - MM received emails from ES about new data points with new structural data (Garner_sta_edits_10_20_16.xls). MM added points to .mxd and symbolized them. MM put map package of Garner_PRODUCTION on the T drive (NCGS_Transfer folder) for ES.
9/29/16 - MM completed digitizing additional points from ES.
9/28/16 - ES told PB that all of ES symbols not on the map. MM, after unsuccessfully searching his computer for the data, scanned the 1994/1995 topo map with ES data on it and the georeferenced the map and added it to the Garner.mxd. MM began to digitize the points and created a new file: Points_Bedrock_Stoddard_9495_Garner.
8/10/16 - MM brought to the layout improved versions of the quad indexes.
7/14/16 - MM made minor changes/additions to upper corners of layout and lower left corner of layout. MM completed map as NCGS_OFR_2016-13_Garner. We're DONE!
4/11/16 - KBT approved quad map for release.
4/8/16 - MM added STATEMAP number, per PB's research. MM added "Compiled" to title. MM completed changes and printed map for final review by KBT.
4/5/16 - MM made some changes per KBT review. MM will have to await input from HH and KG before completing edits.
3/11/16 - MM shrunk the width of the map to 31 inches and printed the map to look over in preparation for KBT and PB.
3/8/16 - MM took out multiple listings on each hand auger point and cut it down to one, with no dash, per HH. MM also added text to hand auger point in layout. MM waiting for final email from HH that text in blue is correct.
3/7/16 - MM received email from HH with two edits. HH will send a later file with hand auger labels. MM also changed big blue dot to ordinary station location symbol, per HH and PB.
3/4/16 - MM completed placing labels on hand auger points. MM sent HH a pdf of the latest map.
3/2/16 - MM received an email from HH with more edits. MM made all the changes except labels for hand augers. MM emailed HH on clarifications. MM received an email from HH and MM began putting labels on hand auger labels.
2/29/16 - MM made edits per HH email on 2/10. MM today verified that changes were made. MM sent new map to HH.
1/19/16 - MM brought in Garner_Unit_Descriptions_v1 as a placeholder in the layout. MM added Other things to add text at the bottom of the layout. MM added authors to layout. MM added lines to layout. MM added colored rock boxes next to unit description text. MM bolded unit text of descriptions. MM made minor change to CZgn text.
1/6/16 - MM uploaded latest version of Garner map to Google Drive:

12/30/15 – MM made colored rock boxes in layout.
12/29/15 – MM printed a copy of the quad. MM looked over the map and made minor changes. MM brought in a border around the quad. MM painstakingly made a better quad index map for the layout.
12/18/15 – MM symbolized the Coastal Plain polygons from using the Ral 100k coastal plain polygon .lyr, but modifying the Tphms color. MM labelled the bedrock polygons and the Coastal Plain polygons and saved them as annotations. MM labelled and arranged the polygons around the quad. MM dotted the contact lines, as needed, in Qal and coastal plain polygons.
12/17/15 –MM created quad index around Garner (quadIndex2), saved it as a tif, clipped the white excess and brought the index back into the layout. MM brought HH’s geodatabase from the T drive into the DISTRIBUTABLE folder. MM took the four feature classes and saved them into the DISTRIBUTABLE folder. MM symbolized the feature classes. MM will symbolize the Coastal Plain polygons tomorrow.
12/16/15 – MM opened Garner.tif in new .mxd and added the Garner data, along with the .lyr’s to the .mxd. MM added coordinates. MM made Quad Index, turned it into a .tif and put it in the layout. MM arranged the symbols and symbol descriptions in the layout. MM created an annotation layer for the dip numbers and placed the numbers around the symbols.
10/20/15 – MM transferred HH’s Garner data from the T drive to the C drive.
