3/31/21 - MM fixed 6 or 7 overlapping NewContactsAndFaults lines that created sliver polygons. MM merged the sliver polygons with the appropriate polygon to either side and split and deleted the sliver contact lines. MM used NewContactsAndFaults to create a new polygon layer - MapUnitPolys_March31_2021. MM QC'd the polygon layer and saw no obvious problems. MM shared the whole folder "E:\MMFolderExternal\NEPiedmont_GeMS_Level2_from_Mike_120420\Phil_NEPiedmont_032621\NEPiedmont_GEMS_Level2.gdb-20210326T131900Z-001\NEPiedmont_GEMS_Level2.gdb" with PB via Google Drive. PB NOW HAS THE MASTER FILE.
3/30/21 - MM will continue the edits. MM created a point feature class ConfirmationOfEdits in order to graphically show the edits were completed. MM sent PB completed .aprx, but bthere were some flaws in it. PB suggested looking at it again and correcting the flaws. MM started correcting the flaws, but some other problems popped up. MM worked on those two. MM will continue working on them tomorrow.
3/26/21 - MM started working on creating polygon layer from NewContactsAndFaults feature class.
3/25/21 - PB asked MM for copy of geodatabase that has the new versions of feature classes that were created yesterday - NewMapUnitPolygonsMarch24_2021, for instance. MM had some difficulties getting PB what he wanted, but eventually (probably), PB got what he wanted. MM sent the two (current and previous) geodatabases to PB by Google Drive.
3/24/21 - MM received a request from PB for new polygons from a NewContactsAndFaults feature class. MM made a PowerPoint file which went through the process of downloading the file from Google Drive, saving the folder on my laptop and creating a polygon file (MapUnitPolys_AKR_NEPied_Jan_2021) and attaching the accompanying layer file to the polygons (MapUnitPolys_AKR_NE_Pied_Jan_2021.lyr). MM texted PB a picture of the polygons and await further instructions.
1/14/21 - MM resaved apr in Pro 2.6, instead of 2.7, in order to make the project compatible with the computer at Archdale.
12/30-31/20 - MM completed 11-20 on PowerPoint pages. MM filled in blank entries on the attribute tables. MM found polygons that did not have a MapUnitNames dot. MM created new polygon layer - MapUnitPolys_Test_123120_2.
12/29/20 - MM didn't realize changes from previous days were not saved. However, on this day, MM completed Pages 8, 9, 10 on the PowerPoint instructions.
12/4/20 - MM discussed the project with PB, showed him the incomplete .lyr of MapUnitPolys_Test3 and then saved .gdb in SharePoint for PB and AR.
12/2/20 - MM saved the MapUnitPolys_Test our separate times, but the best MM could do is 64 blank MapUnit values in the attribute table. MM then put a value in those remaining 64 polygons.
12/1/20 - MM corrected the topology errors and created a polygon feature class (MapUnitPolys_Test).
11/30/20 - MM created topology for CAF on external hard drive.
11/25/20 - MM completed populating attribute tables for the 3 (4?) feature classes. Also, brought in 16 quad boundary feature class from AR and PB.
11/24/20 - MM completed making sure nodes are snapped to the quadrangle boundaries. MM also populated DATASOURCE_ID attributes in GeologicalLines.
11/23/20 - MM continued working on this map and completed 5 more quads.
11/20/20 - MM continued work on snapping nodes to WGS quadrangle boundaries. MM completed Inez and Hollister quadrangles today.
11/19/20 - MM started this map. MM downloaded NEPiedmont off SharePoint and created a new project (I think). MM loaded the five feature classes into the project and began to fix the lines for the 16 quads. MM completed two quads today (Middleburg and Warrenton).
